The Christmas Tree...

This year we didn't have a Christmas tree at the house (we were out of town, and also didn't think it would be fun chasing toddlers away from it for a month). Nonna and grandpa had a big tree and Nikolas was in awe. He loved the Sesame Street ornaments...especially the Elmo one. He also had a great time chasing the train around the tree...although he did start to get a little upset when he wasn't allowed to touch it.

Uncle Scott is in town for Christmas! Here he is holding the bear he got me for Christmas...isn't it adorable! The other picture shows him trying to teach Nikolas how to give High Fives! He got Nikolas these huge blocks...he hasn't stopped playing with them since yesterday, he loves building towers and knocking them down.

Here is Nikolas opening up Christmas presents, on Christmas morning. He did really well opening them. He said "oh" after everything he opened and wanted to play with everything (which is great because he got a lot this year!!)

Daddy & Rick built a snowman, Eric of course had to top it off with his longhorn hat. Nikolas was very fascinated by the snowman....it was bigger than him.

Let it snow...

Grandma, Rick, Eric and I took the kids to see snow while we were in Cali. We only had to go about 20 miles away from the house to get to snow. Nikolas loved it ! Pa-paw and Eric built a snowman for Nikolas and threw snowballs, we had a good time. Brooklynn wasn't too thrilled, but she was a trooper! Nikolas wasn't too thrilled when it was time to go.

Nikolas went (on his own) and sat down next Brooklynn while she was playing in her bouncy seat. He sat there for a long time reading a book to her,he is a good brother!

Nikolas & Walkers baby shower

My mom and sister threw a baby shower for me, Nikolas and Walker. It was a lot of fun !! The cake was beautiful and the decorations were adorable. There was tons of food, including a fountain of blue chocolate (white chocolate colored blue), we had marshmallows, cookies, straweberries and apples to dip in it...it was yummy! There was also blue punch (of course!).We played several games (including "My Water Broke", a baby food tasting game (eww!), a bottle drinking contest ( I won this one and the baby food tasting), a gummy worm guessing contest and a mad-libs. My mom made a really cute poem out of candy wrappers...it was hillarious. I wish I had more pics to post of the shower, but I was too busy drinking baby bottles and opening presents to take any :( Thanks mom and Candi for a wonderful shower!!!

Christmas in California

These pic's didn't turn out as good as I had hoped...it was impossible to get them both to look at the camera (or either of them). But...you can still see their cute Christmas outfits!

We had a great time in California visiting everyone. The weather didn't cooperate very much, but it was nice to see the family...I only wish they lived closer, it is hard to say goodbye. Everyone fell in love with Brooklynn and Nikolas (only my mom and Candi had met Nikolas). We had Christmas on the 17th, it was a lot of fun. Nikolas did really well with opening presents, he kept using his "more"sign to let us know he wanted to open more presents- it was funny. Nikolas learned to say "Santa" and what sounds like "Grandma" while we were there :)

Nikolas, the big brother !

Nikolas is doing really well with Brooklynn. Most of the time he just ignores her, but there are times where he sits down and plays right near her. She is fascinated by him...he looks at her and she cracks up, it is adorable. Here he is the day after we got her...he was curious about her all day.

Daddy's Girl...

Here is daddy holding Brooklynn for the first time. She was really comfortable in his arms and fell asleep right away- he has the magic touch. She has adjusted really well (just like her brother did). It is crazy how alike they are, they smile the same, laugh the same and pout the same...it is truely amazing.

Nonna and Brooklynn

Nonna brought Brooklynn some cute pink stuff (some clothes, a first Christmas stocking and the cutest Care Bear). She was surprised that I had her dressed in blue (it is the only dress she currently owns- which will change soon!).
