My DR appointment...

I had a Dr appointment on Tuesday. It was just an exam with the nurse practioner. I did hear the heartbeat- he/she is still healthy with a strong heartbeat :) I go back on November 3rd for a sonogram and a visit with the DR. It will probably be too early to tell if we are having a girl or a boy...but we should know within the next month or so. I will keep y'all updated...

Grandma Candy & Nikolas

Nikolas looked so cute today I had to take his picture. He was wearing jeans with his jean jacket that grandma Larson gave him. He got a lot of compliments on his outfit today. He is holding his blue bunny here...he loves his blue bunny. He holds on to him all the time now, it used to just be during bed. Casey likes to take the bunny from him and throw him, he knows it bugs Nikolas.

MMMM Corn...

The boys LOVE corn. I gave them corn on the cobs the other night for dinner and they both sat there till there wasn't a single piece of recognizable corn on the cob.
Casey seems to have his eyes closed in most pictures I take these days...I will try to get a good one of him.

The Little Climber...

Casey has started climbing on the couches ALL THE TIME. You can't keep him off them, and you can't get him to sit on his bottom either...it is very nerve wracking. He gets the biggest grin on his face when he gets up there and is very proud of himself.

Casey found an empty purse the other day and put it on...it was so funny. He walked around the house with it forever and wasn't thrilled at all when I took it away

Little Monkeys...

Here are the boys playing, they are really playing good together lately. Casey hasn't been biting as much, and Nikolas is sticking up for himself a lot more. They make each other laugh all the time and wherever one goes the other will follow (that goes for when they get into things they aren't supposed to as well). They are quite the team!

Lots to smile about !!

Today we found out that the end is near with Nikolas' adoption! The adoption worker thinks that the actual placement will be the beginning of November . The adoptive placement is where they change his name to Nikolas Robert Parrott on the paperwork and we stop getting reinbursement for him being a foster child & get to put him on our insurance as our child! She said to get the Finalization court date set for after November 16th, so now we are just waiting for a date. So...by Christmas he will be a Parrott, it is very exciting !!

Getting Bigger....

Today is the first day of my 2nd trimester ! I have gained 5 pounds so far...and per the books I will start gaining more faster (oh joy). Everything is getting tight on me, so I have ordered some really cute maternity clothes from Ebay, I can't wait for them to get here!! It should be less than a month before we find out if the baby is a boy or girl. I go in for a Dr appointment next Tuesday, but won't be getting a sonogram this visit. I should get one a couple weeks after that though. I will keep y'all updated!!

The Boys swimming at Nonna & Grandpa's

This Saturday the boys and I went to Nonna & Grandpa's. We had a good time. The boys went swimming in a blow up pool (Nonna, grandpa and Thomas did a good job blowing it up for them). Nikolas is such a water baby, he was having a blast, he kept falling in the water and was fearless, he LOVES the water! We went to the petstore, the boys love to go and look at the fish and birds. Then we went to get BBQ (and I finally got my banana pudding I have been craving!!).

Little Parrott Update...

Eric and I went to the DR on Tuesday. It was the best visit so far...the baby was kicking and waving his/her arms around- it was adorable.We definitely have an active little one in there, I have a feeling I will be kicked a lot. 3 weeks ago it was the cutest blob ever...now it looks like a little bitty human, it is amazing. I even had to frame a couple of the sonogram pictures that were taken at the DR- you can tell what everything is, it is amazing! We also heard the heartbeat, which we were told is very strong and healthy. The baby measured older than it did last time...by 6 days! The Dr said that it is possible that the baby was smaller because of the twin-twins usually are smaller. The due date has been moved from May 2nd to April 26th, I am now 11 weeks pregnant- and very close to the end of my first trimester!! I go back in for an exam in 2 weeks, then 2 weeks after that we get another sonogram (we MAY be able to tell the sex, but probably not quite yet). She told me that I have a "normal" pregnancy...everything looks REALLY good, and I am off bed rest/couch potato rest. However, my son isn't "normal"weight and I am not allowed to pick up Casey the entire pregnancy. She said no more than 15-20 pounds (and Nikolas is 19). We had to rearrange alot of things at the house so that I can stay home by myself with the boys with out picking up Casey at all. I think we have figured it out, and tomorrow is my first day by myself since August 20th (crazy!). I promised Eric that I would do nothing but take care of the boys and nap when they nap (I have been SO tired lately). I am really starting to feel big...well, big for me. I have only gained about 4 pounds, I think I lost alot from being so sick- but have gained plenty in my belly. None of my clothes fit me, so I have worn some maternity pants already- they aren't as comfortable as I expected them to be, but they are much better than walking around with my pants unbuttoned.

You have to get used to seeing belly shots on this blog...it is the best way I can show my mom what I look like pregnant :)

Rub a Dub Dub

The boys are getting so big and do really well just sitting in the big bathtub. The second we put them in there they start to kick their feet and clap their hands. Nikolas loves his baths so much he cries when we take him out.

Big Boy!

Here is Casey eating at his "big boy table". Since I am not allowed to pick him, we had to start having him eat at the big table instead of his highchair. He LOVES it, and when it is time to eat he will sign the "eat" sign and sit in his chair. The dogs also love his new table- more food ends up on the floor this way!
