Lexi ventures outside
Lexi hasn't been eating as well as she should, so Howard suggested maybe taking her outside since she may be missing my mom and the kids. I took her outside, and she LOVED it. In fact, I think we created a monster, because she runs for the door when we open it, or she meows inside if anyone goes out it. She sure loved being outside chasing bugs, exploring and smelling the flowers.

| Lexi was meowing the whole time Howard was in the shower. When he got out, she got right in. She didn't mind that it was wet at all. It was so funny, because she would occasionally shake her paws because they were wet- but she didn't get out, till we got her out. I thought cats didn't like water?? |
Yep....those are carrots!
We didn't exactly have the best soil, or the deepest place to plant carrotts, but regardless- we did manage to get some to grow. Here is Brooklynn showing off our itty bitty carrotts!
Lexi meets the kids....
Lexi was a little shy when she first met the kids (the kids were at Erics when we first got her), but it didn't take long at all before she was right there with them at all times. The kids love her, and she constantly has attention. They are older, which helps with them understanding when to give her space and when to play with her....they are all doing so good with her.
She has a favorite
:Lexi seems to like everyone, but I think if she had to pick a favorite, it would be Howard. She sleeps on him at night, and if he is ever sitting still long enough for her to jump on him, she does. He is always picking her up and giving her food.. When he goes outside she sits at the door and meows for him until he comes in. He always refers to her as the "baby", such a spoiled kitty.
Intoducing Lexi....
We got Lexi at KittyPalooza at the beginning of July. It took a while to decide if I was ready for a pet, but after thinking about it overnight, I decided that it would be a good addition to the house, and someone to hang out with when the kids weren't here. My mom and I went to the Humane Society, and fell in love with Lexi. She is a 12 week old kitty, black with white "socks" on and a white chest and a little white near her mouth. She is absolutely adorable. She is playful, and had no trouble finding the litter box.

Swim lessons at the YMCA!
I signed the kids up this year for swim lessons at the YMCA. It only lasted a month, but they have improved quite a lot!!

The Nik' O' Lantern
We had one fully grown pumpkin ready in June. The evil Vine Bores destroyed the other pumpkin plants, so we made sure to really appreciate this one. We opened it, and made yummy pumpkin seeds. Then, I carved it, after I was done, we decided that the hair on the pumpkin made it look like Nikolas, so he became a Nik' O Lantern!

Helping mommy....
Since the kids have gotten older, they have really been helping around the house. They are good at laundry, dishes and recently sweeping. Here is a pic of the boys sweeping the kitchen!!
