We have been incredibly busy remodeling and organizing the house. I have barely been keeping up with Facebook, where I now put most of my pictures. I will make an effort though to keep this updated.
The kids are keeping me SO busy. Nikolas started Pre-K two times a week, he loves it.He also started Therapist appointments on Monday, and seems to be enjoying that as well. Brooklynn is still going to some periodic DR appts for her Cherubism, but so far so good...yeah!!!! Walker is getting so big now, and such a stubborn Taurus. They are growing so fast, and I plan on writing more soon with updates on the past several months- so many exciting things to tell about them. Will blog soon!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
We got out the tree and some decorations the day after Thanksgiving. We have been doing some Christmas arts & crafts lately too. They have been pointing out EVERYTHING they want from Santa- they think Santa is a millionaire!
Nik's first day of school
We started Nikolas in Pre-K at Stepping Stone 2 times a week to see how he would do. He loves it, and would love it if we let him go all week long. He was very excited in this picture right before we went :) Of course the other kids aren't too thrilled that they don't get to go to school- but it won't be long.

Mommy's Date with the kids
The kids and I took a trip to the mall today. yes, just me and all three of the kids. We first built a bear at the Build a Bear Workshop, after the kids made Angel, Barkley and Bevo we went on a train ride around the mall. The kids loved it! Then we had lunch and Dippin' Dots Icecream (mmmm). It was a great time!

Most of y’all know that the kids and I went to California to say “Goodbye” to my grandfather and support my family. Unfortunally the good-bye I went to say was in case he were to pass away, that I would know when I was back here that I did have a chance to say bye. Little did I know that shortly into our trip, he did pass away. Never have I had to deal with death in this personal of a situation. But, if there could have been a perfect goodbye, he had it. I had ironically flown in. I got to hold his hand several times and talk the best we could. I brought each of the kids in to talk to him individually. He hadn’t seen them for a long time. When he went back in the hospital, I got to go again and hold his hand. He said he was proud of me and my family, that he was so glad I had come from Texas, I was too. He sounded like he was saying goodbye, but no one thought that would happen. My sister was also there- and Later that evening his grandsons were able to visit him as well. The next day my grandma, mom, step dad, uncle and aunt were called to the hospital. He held on till they got there, and when he took off his oxygen mask, he was in peace surrounded by his family. Everyone got to say their goodbyes, there were no regrets from him or us, which is the best you can ever ask for. My mom, grandma and I stayed very busy planning his memorial. It kept us busy, which helped. Mom really took control and it was a wonderful tribute to him. It was outside, a small message from the pastor and several speeches from his family and friends. He was very loved, very organized (I got some of that from him), he was determined, a big part in all his grandkids lives , and after 57 years of marriage- he loved my grandma more than anything else. He will be missed, but he will also live in our memories and hearts.

Bear River
Papaw took us to Bear River, it was great to get out of the house and the kids loved it. Brooklynn helped me look for pretty rocks in the water. Of course they turned ugly once they dried (oh well). Nik found a bunch of sticks to float down the very fast flowing river. Walker did everything in his power to get in the water. I love the picture of Papaw holding him back with his shirt. They also threw rocks, and dug in the mud (I love the pic of them all in a row).

The First trip to the beach!
When we were in Harlingen we took a day trip to Padre to go to the beach. The kids had so much fun (check out how excited they look waiting by the door ready to go. They built sand castles and Nikolas helped me collect Sea Shells, None of them seemed afraid of the water, they had a great time!!
