Nose to Nose

Ramses of course had no problem making friends with Dusty. He was very excited, they didn't waste any time playing together. Dusty got a little excited (or nervous) and leaked a little- but his tail didn't stop wagging the whole time.

Dusty...

I went this afternoon to pick up our new addition to the family. We decided to name him Dusty. He is TINY! He is 9 weeks old, and as cute as can be (really looks like a little teddy bear). Mima bought him for the family (THANKS MIMA). I made a card with Mima & Papaws picture on it, so the kids knew it was from her. I hid him in a gift bag (just for a second). The kids were very excited. A little too excited, so they didn't get to spend too much time with him yet, I didn't want to traumatize him the first few minutes of being in his new home. They aren't going to be left alone with him- and can only hold him sitting down. Brooklynn & Walker have a little bit still to learn about being gentle- but I don't think it will take them long to figure it out.

A new addition...

Mima is buying the family a puppy for Christmas, except we are getting him a little early. I go and pick him up tomorrow, and am so excited. I am going to surprise the kids with him, and hopefully record it so Mima can see their surprised faces. He is a Malti-poo, half Maltese and half poodle- so he doesn't shed and is hypo-allergenic (which is always a plus).He also doesn't look anything like a Maltese or a Poodle. I saw this little guy and fell in love- doesn't he look like a teddy bear?? I think we are going to name him "Dusty". I think it will be great for the kids to have a puppy that will grow up with them. Ramses is also getting older (can you believe he will be nine??). He has a few bumps, that may or may not be cancer (he has no pain- so we are hopeful). But, he has always grown up with other dogs- and does SO much better with a friend, as Milo prooved. He is so paternal, and will just love to have a new companion. Me, I just want something in my life that won't get too big- this little one probably won't get over 8 pounds, I need a baby! I know I have 3, but they are growing up so incredibly fast. Eric- he is okay with it, I don't think he is as excited as me, but he isn't against it- I am sure he will fall in love when he meets him! I will post pics tomorrow when we get him.

We had a big Halloween Party today with my playgroup. We had a really big turn out, it was a lot of fun. Brook & Walker weren't feeling well so they stayed home with Gma, so it was just me and Nikolas. I was able to actually talk to the other moms, with out chasing kids everywhere, it was great (thanks Candy!). Nik found a friend that was also a fireman, they played a lot together. Here he is talking to him about his boots- literally, they were having a conversation about their fireman boots, he is getting to be such a big boy now!

Remember these??

G-ma brought the kids sit & spins- one for outside, and one that makes music. They don't do well sharing, and haven't quite gotten the concept- but they sure are trying. I remember those like it was yesterday, but mind didn't make music or have lights!

Rammy

See...proof that Ramses still runs around (he hates to go outside by himself). Nikolas was playing ball with him, he only got knocked down a few times, he just laughed and got back up to get Rammys ball. They wore each other out. I think he is smiling one picture!

Ramses has a very large lump on his foot- we are working on figuring out what it is, but he is 9 years old- and Boxers are prone to lumps and bumps (and unfortunally Cancer). We are hoping that it isn't- but it isn't bothering him, regardless- so that is great!

Going to Target..

NIkolas and Brooklynn kept using the steering wheel, and said "Bye Bye Mommy, we're going to Target". I guess I go there occasionally.

The Slide~

Walker has always gone down our slide in the backyard feet first. A few days ago he watched his brother and sister do it, and decided to try it himself. It was so cute because he got in position and sat there for a bit like he was considering if he really wanted to- once he did he clapped and then came right back to do it again.

Playing in the playhouse

The kids really enjoy playing on their playscape. The weather has been perfect lately, and we can spend more time outside. Walker just got to the point where he can be up there by himself now, he thinks he is such a big boy now (little does he know he is still a baby).

Taking Turns!

The kids have gotten really good at taking turns pushing each other in the car (that is one of the only things they do well sharing, lately!). Uncle Scooter- the still LOVE the car, now Nikolas can ride it- so it is loved times three!

I have been struggling with potty training with Nikolas (and Brooklynn is potty training too).Everyone said not to push them, so every once in a while I would just ask him if he needed to go potty- most of the time he said "no", but then we started doing it every night after dinner- I would set a timer (he does well with timers), and they would "try". Well starting this week, he started peeing in the potty every single time after dinner. He gets potty prizes (dinosaurs, cars, etc) if he pees in the potty. We also started trying at other times of the day- and sure enough he would go too. He just all of a sudden woke up and decided he was ready. He is starting to tell me when he needs to go, or when he has. He is now wearing big boy Car pull ups and he puts his big boy underwear over his pull up. He loves getting the potty prizes, so that helps and today we are making another potty chart- so they can put stickers on it, just for trying. Anyways.,...long story short- he is really coming around, yeah & finally, I am so excited- soon I may only have 2 in diapers, and I am sooooo proud of him !!

The kids are so cute, when you ask them their names. Nikolas is getting pretty good, he now refers to himself as Nik (listen to how he says Parrott...adorable!). Brooklynn still calls herself Sissy No'mam Parrott . Walker refers to himself as "Bubba" because that is what his uncles call him. For some reason he has to pat himself when he says it,not sure why- but it is cute.

Walker, up to his old tricks!

Walker used to always fall asleep at the table, he hasn't recently. I just had to grab my camera and record it, for old time sake. This one was hillarious- because he was trying so hard to stay awake, and was laughing with his eyes closed and Nikolas and Brooklynn. I was trying not to laugh too hard.

Nik's Potty Prize

Nikolas told me the other night that he had to pee-pee, and he got on the potty and did!! He was very proud of himself, we called Daddo and Mima to tell them. He also got a dinosaur for a "potty price". I think he is FINALLY starting to show a little interest in potty training, yeah!!

My Little Potato Heads

The kids have really gotten into Potato Heads. They have all kinds of pieces for them- Brooklynn is walking her Princess she made. Then they decided that they wanted to wear the glasses, Walker did it too, but I wasn't fast enough to get all three of them.

Another Dress Rehearsal for Halloween

Eric was home this weekend, so we put the kids costumes on so he can see them. Nikolas got new black pants, and fireman boots- he liked walking in them. He asked "Daddo" to walk with him, and they walked around the house for a while, later Walker joined them. That is there thing, they always hold hands and walk around the house- not sure why, but makes for cute pictures.

Fun at Jungle Java

We went to Jungle Java today with Gigi, Branson, Jackie and Harper. We had never been before- the kids had a great time, such a good time that Brook and NIk threw a huge fit when we left. We definitely plan on going back, despite the fits :)
